The Cowboys first home game at the New Stadium.
So I am a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, and ever since I was 3 I remember watching the games on the TV in our home. So Tonight I was not expecting it to be as incredible as it was. I started by going to the first ever Cowboys Regular season home game at the Dallas Cowboys new stadium. Tickets start at $75 dollars and go up to $1,300. Majority of the seats are between $99 and $340. Parking is $75 buck on stadium grounds or you can walk a 1.2 miles and park for $40. Unreal I know. The game tonight had 105,121 people i attendance which was the largest crowd to watch an NFL game in US history, that was cool to be apart of, and yes it was L O U D. Well I am sitting on the back row of my section and all of the sudden in the second quarter all these people start pointing and taking pictures aimed at me and I turn and look not a foot behind me on the aisle over my left shoulder was Lebron James in his silver Nike Air Max lowtops, persol sunglasses, all diamond watch, bracelet, and Kings Head necklace, and two of his buddies. This was so unreal. He left after about 5 minutes, but Ill never for get him saying, “Why did he drop that pass? Guess Romo threw it too hard.” lol. Then later as I run into a buddy he stops me and shows me he met John Madden, I asked where and he said there he is in Jerrys suite talking to Troy Aikman, at the point we were 45 feet from him, cool to see them chatting in person. As I was leaving to go to my car I was walking up the stairs to leave and Chris Bosh of the Toronto Raptors was taking pics with fans, it doesn’t end there although if it did it would have been fine. Walking to my car and I was parked close to the players lot apparently because all these people were running into players in the lot where I was parked, so I waited for a sec and Felix Jones walked right by me gave me an autograph and I said Pig Sooie which is a team pride thing for his University, University of Arkansas, we slapped hands and both smiled (really cool coming from my favorite player, especially since it was my first time to meet him). I then got to shake Sam Hurd’s hand and got him to sign something as well because he was walking with Felix. People were talking about how George W. Bush, Kid Rock, Jordin Sparks, were also in attendance I never saw them but glad to know they are Cowboys fans as well. Of Course my iPhone dies 10 minutes after I get to my seat so I have very few pictures but even though we lost the game in the final 4 seconds, the Chili Cheese Nachos I ate will be with me for at least three days, and the memories from tonight will be with me forever. I will truly never forget tonight. Thank you to Deon Anderson and all the rest of the players for being people I can root for and look up to.

Which, far as I can tell, means one of two things: A) ABC News intentionally showed Cook's feed as a commentary on the interactivity between mall punk bands and their fans, which is pretty unlikely, or B) someone in the ABC News department follows Cook on Twiiter, which is pretty hilarious.

Okay this year for Warped Tour I teamed up with my family over at Shine drums to do something freeking fun as crap.

Every year on Warped Tour i get to meet tons of people and make a million new friends. But i always walk away missing the darn thing and wish i could have something to remember the memories/parties/shows with. So this year the Shine gang and I are using Twitter to our advantage to play a game called “Where’s Kyle”! Sort of like the old school Where’s Waldo books, but this is as real as it gets and i won’t be wearing a fruity candy cane outfit. (I’ll normally just be swagged out in sick threads.) For a chance to come kick it with me and the dudes in my band AND come draw or just autograph my new Shine drum kit, simply follow these rules:

1. You must have an account on Twitter.com
2. You have to follow @shinedrumco and @djknucklehead on Twitter for daily updates and global positioning.
3. When I’m in your city that day for Warped, @shinedrumco will randomly post my coordinates on Warped Tour grounds. (ie. @shinedrumco Kyle is by the Smartpunk stage buying a corndog at the concession stand next to the Peta tent!)
4. First person that gets to me and shows me the Twit on their mobile device WINS.
5. I’ll post from @djknucklehead when I’ve been captured/found/busted.
6. July 22 - August 23 only… sorry other dates. We had to record an album!

FTSK: 3 Part Album Article

A few sites have posted this article about FTSK & their 3 part album coming up.

Universal Motown Records will release a deluxe version of the debut album from Forever The Sickest Kids entitled, Underdog Alma Mater - Deluxe, today. Since releasing their first full-length album over a year ago, the six-man band from Dallas has been touring the U.S. successfully and building a fan base from the grass roots up. The past year has been a thrilling whirlwind for the band. They could be seen on the cover of Alternative Press, gracing the pages of US Weekly and performing on Conan O’Brien’s late night talk show. They have toured Europe and performed in Japan and even re-recorded their hit single “Whoa-Oh (Me VS. Everyone) with Disney star, Selena Gomez.

Now, FTSK is going to make this next year even more memorable. In a forward thinking move, the band is forgoing the traditional road to making records. Instead of making a full album follow up to Underdog Alma Mater, the band will be releasing three shorter albums of new material. These albums will have six songs on each and will be released over the next year. The first of these will be available this fall with the other two coming in winter and spring of 2010.

Jonathan Cook, Caleb Turman, Marc Stewart, Austin Bello, Kent Garrison, Kyle Burns formed Forever The Sickest Kids in 2006 and within four months, the band had recorded an EP, Television Off, Party On and written many of the songs for their full-length debut, Underdog Alma Mater. Then the band started playing shows, including a three-week stint on the indie stage of the Warped Tour. As rigorous as Warped was, it paid off. Before Warped, Forever the Sickest Kids averaged 10,000 to 12,000 daily plays on their MySpace page. When they got home, the number jumped from between 15,000 and 22,000. The band’s fan base will continues to grow this summer as they embark on Warped Tour once again with dates from July through August.

This has nothing to do with Forever The Sickest Kids, but I just wanted to say that my thoughts are with Michael Jackson's family. He passed away just two days ago of Cardiac Arrest. I remember listening to Michael Jackson as a kid and trying to do the dance moves from Smooth Criminal. He will be missed, but his music will live on forever. Rest in Peace Michael!<3
